A10 5800k Micro Atx build. IS it worth it? or just wait?

Build - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Gxfe

I could easily get this money by selling some things i got around my place but is it worth it? what kind of performance would i get? How long would this last since new games are coming out that have higher requirements. Or should i just wait for other things?

I  am also looking for a $800 build that i can think about  if anyone wants to make one share me the link.

For a build under $800, this is what I'd go with:

new apus from amd are coming out in like a month

i have an a10-5800k, i like it so far. i play guild wars 2 at 1080P with most everything on high and get around 30 fps, sometimes it dips into the 20's or shoots into the 40's. but it really depends on what games you want to play. if you play cross platform games then they should run smooth on an A10 at 720p at mid settings. now if you have a A10 xfired with a 6670 then you should get 7870 performance out of them, but it may be buggy. if the 6800ks do come out soon then the 5800ks might drop in price. you could buy an 5800k now, buy a 6800k when the price becomes stable (should be a few months after release) and buy a 7850 or a 7870.  i hear the a10-6800k will be able to xfire with 7xxx series cards.

now do i think a A10 micro ATX build is worth it. yes and no.    reason being i dont think they are going to make anymore APUs for the FM2 socket after the 6800k. meaning FM2 maybe be dead by next year when FM3 is released. if you can afford an 800$ build like jerm1027 posted then go for it. better upgrade path.  But if you are on a budget then the 5800k , 6800k and FM2 are worth every penny, FM2  also have really nice mATX boards (IMO) when compared to AM3+ mATX boards.

im going to say wait. if you can wait around till the 6800k thenn do it, unless you dont mind buying a second APU with in a month. but  by the time you might have 800$

i was in the same boat as you. i decided to buy an 5800k now then spend the 120$+ on the 6800k later. the reason i did this is because im going to build a second gaming PC for a family member.

i hope my opinion helps.

In a bout a month or so, the new APU's are coming out :) Depends if you need it now or not. I'd say wait a month.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GJCr    <--- 800$ Budget build. (Reaaaally similar to mine).

If I were and had the money I wouldn't wait tbh. New better stuff is always around the corner with PC's so you just kinda have to live with it.

Thank you for your opinion it does help.Im going to just wait and see ill just save some money up see how the 6800k is or just make a FX 6300 gaming pc with a Radeon 7870.
