Rocket Launcher that shoots anti-matter grenades.
A big blade like the one from final fantasy (3 i think) the one that cloud has

Scram cannon is like the hornet grenade Logan was talking about. I reccomend playing Oni.
For a dungeon crawler I would have to suggest duel daggers that cause the person equipped with them to spin around (the longer you hold the attack button the longer the spin depending on a guage based on the users level).
A crossbow that fires swords........... or piranhas, dealers choice.
Wait, I'm not sure what the capabilities of your game engine are but if you can have a single weapon with selectable ammo types then this is a better idea. We need a game with a crossbow that can fire your choice of different small animals with different effects, there is something appealing about shooting rabid face eating squirrels at your enemies.
If this sounds familiar it's because you probably played Oddworld Stragers Wrath and used a gun with a similar concept.
A gun that shoots knives.
Cool to hear another indie dev is making a rogue-like/nethack game, I quite love the genre
I'm not entirely sure what era of weaponry you're looking for, but here is something I think could be a really interesting weapon both conceptually, and stylistically.
Some measure of Katana/Sword or Sythe That, not only functions as said weapon, BUT has a firearm attachment, such as a hand gun type weapon.
Yes, Not terribly exciting as is. However, if the gun was cleverly crafted into the weapon as one whole that could lend to some interesting art/models.
In regards to combat, where this weapon would shine is in combos. Structured in such a way that the gun's recoil provides momentum to the blade's attacks while taking out enemies with, well, bullets..
You could create some awesome animations and it would feel like simply a cool weapon to use.
Oh and if you mess up the combo then the momentum of the weapon causes you to stumble and or just breaks your flow.
1. A persons skull and spine that can be used as a mace.
This can be something acquired from ripping it out of the bodies of a dead victim or perhaps a skeleton off to the side.
2.Aerosol can with a lighter that is a portable mini flamethower can also be used as an explosive.
My Submission:
Musikaner,
Once in the collection of a renowned ancient sorcerer, the Musikaner was a stringed music staff made to bring joy to the hearts of mankind; however a dark witch stole the kaner from the sorcerer and twisted it to her own ends, imbuing the bowed staff with dark powers. The staff's primary attack blasts back enemies, injuring them, and on a critical hit causing those most affected to bleed from their ears, it's secondary attack when successful will cause opponents in range to weep loudly and abandon all hope, ending their own lives.
Legend states that the Kaner possessed a third power, a power to subvert the will and influence the souls of those who heard it's music played. The sorcerer defeated the witch at great cost to prevent her from mastering this ability in order to seize the inhabitants of the domain as her slaves; he voiced his intent to purify the staff of it's corruption at the next full moon but perished from his injuries before he was able to; his heirs buried the staff in his crypt with powerful seals to prevent it from being taken again.
Even now, it is said that the staff calls out for any wielders powerful enough to break the seals and claim it; before it's corruption the staff was said to have healing properties and the ability to inspire qualities of courage and goodwill, now it is twisted... twisted and evil. Perhaps it's possible for it to be purified still, assuming it's possesor is not themselves possesed by it's taint.
A bubble blowing squirtgun. Stay with me here. You can blow different color bubbles. Each color has a different effect. If you shoot the bubbles with the watergun they just pop like bubbles. If you shoot them with any weapon or strike them bladewise they create the selected effect. Effects that have a defined area of effect set off only bubbles of the same color. Red=grenade. Blue=slow/frozen. Brown=fart/repel. Black=death on contact. White=flare/flashbang on contact. Green=poison gas. Purple=hipower grenade only when shot.

Tried something, I'm unable to draw the dragon head, cause I'm just that bad, also the dragon picture is from google, rest is by me.
I know my drawing skills are bad, but just did it to give the idea of what I mean.

I'd say... why not a grenade (well, capped vase) full of fermented hallucinegenic mushrooms, which form a gas which causes the enemies (if non-monster and/or humanoid) to hallucinate. They begin attacking random enemies, running from random things, attacking things, and might even consider you a ally.
As such, the effects would be very random, thus it's best to use at a distance. Good for humor, for chaos, for picking off enemies at a distance, or for just wanting to see a beserker start humping trees for no good reason.
"The Shroomnade", as it were, would be possibly the most hilarious, memorable, rofl-inducing, laugh until you pass out weapon that any game had ever seen. And as the effects changed existing behaviors, or even added new behaviors, the game would retain it's fun, innovation, and excitement. Heck, even just observing all the possible weird reactions from "Shroomnades" could be an achievement on it's own.
Maybe add a "Fear Shroomnade", a "Fury Shroomnade", a "DOUBLE RAINBOW!!! Shroomnade" (makes targets calm, happy, pointing at everything, crying non-stop, and asking questions nobody cares about), and so forth. Heck, even adding Internet Meme jokes (double rainbow? is this real life?) to the Shroomnade list of effects, there could be a lot of easter eggs hidden. Recipes hidden throughout the game. Ingredients to collect.
Suddenly, you've got the stoner equivalent of Alchemy in a Dungeon Crawler game to be used as an effect weapon... and there's no need for you to use it on your character; throw a "Pillow Fight Shroomnade" at a bunch of heavy-armored male warriors to suddenly make the game into a laugh out loud experience. Oh the Let's Play videos that would come from this. The trolling comments... aahhh... somehow I feel like I've done my good deed for the day.
Alternatively, there is another option... the character could throw a "FPHS grenade" at an enemy group. Which is short for "Facepalm Headshot". Enemies see a broken grenade, investigate, and read a note. The note contains a joke so bad, the enemies who read it facepalm so hard they give themselves a concussion. Here's an example:
"It's not considered assault if you tell someone a joke so bad he facepalms himself so hard he gives himself a concussion. That's how I got my 17th consecutive headshot in Call of Doody: Modern Trollfare."
(Which is quickly followed by the enemy facepalming himself so hard he knocks himself unconscious, and the main character says to himself. "18 in a row... well, at least I got a hole in 1 in this course." just to add insult to injury to the opponent who had been unfortunate enough to read through the text inside the grenade. Should said character just hit himself, but not knock himself unconscious, he might give himself a green bruise. "Well, at least I got on the green for the final hole. Goin' for a Deuce now, OH-YEAH! DUFF-MAN!")
Again, collecting bad (horrible!) jokes might be so sad, entertaining, or just curious that there might be a never-ending supply of them online, from amateur comedian friends, bored forum trolls (is that a circular argument?)... and heck, depending on how bad the joke is it could make opponents cry, gouge out their eyes, hang themselves, throw themselves off a cliff, facepalm so hard they knock themselves unconscious, and so forth. Seeing the reactions (and intensity of said reactions) may depend on both the character and the joke, and a tad of randomness (and maybe context, depending on what said NPCs were talking about, supposing you approached in stealth mode).
Anyways, just some random ideas from some bored forum user who doesn't have much better things to do right now. Seeya.
A weapon that attaches to your arm and you cannot remove it or it breaks, or it gives you negative bonuses in that arm for the rest of the game. Like, a katana that has tentacles that attach to your forearm and to get it off you must scrape your arm thus weakening it.
I would like to see a Katana that has a tazer attached to the blade, It could be called a "Zapana"
Think of the stopping power of it...
EDIT: Also "Midget Chucks", because why not?
A mace like thing with 4 human heads for the spikey things mounted to the end of a chainsaw
A fully automatic katana launcher and each and every katan has the spirits of the ones yoube slane, the katanalso re aslo rocket propelled and when they go through the person they explode behind him killing the other baddies. The weapon looks like something put of steam punk and shadows if the dammed, it also acts as small microbrewery for beer, i call it simply the awesome weapon.
The concrete donkey from the old worms games.
'nuff said.
And also, a large cannon that shoots 2 cannonballs attached with a chain (forgot what the word for this is...). That would do some extreme damage for a group of enemies... it could be a one shot only type of thing, where you have to pick up the cannonballs, and it takes quite a while to reload.
It should also have a tomahawk!
And, if you're having magic, it should have a spell version of the classic flashbang.... or even just magnesium that you can light and throw to blind enemies.
It would also be cool to have a spell that makes a gravity well - this could kill weaker enemies due to the excessive force, and slow down/drain the stamina of stronger enemies, and if it's possible, it would be cool if it could pull walls/loose bricks in the wall/any other loose objects towards the gravity well and damage anything in the path.
I beleve that is called a "Chain Shot"
