A very irritating problem i'm having with Fallout New Vegas

Now this is where i'll usually say "x thing is making me racist". But in all seriousness, folks. I AM having a major problem with Fallout New Vegas and making decisions in the game. Now please try and follow along with me and i'll do my best to explain what really grinds my gears in New Vegas and how i'm having difficulties continuing to play.

So i've played every Bethesda game (and yeah, yeah, i know NV isn't made BY Bethesda, but there's no need for nitpicky nonsense now) and they basically play out normally, as would all RPGs. You have choices, right? Choose to be the evil guy, the good guy. Blow up a post-apocalyptic town or save it. You get the idea.

When i started playing New Vegas, i was blown away by the new features that were put into the game, and how the developers handled a lot of things differently than Bethesda. But what's really, really bothersome is the decisions that i'm faced with. I only have to open up my Pip-Boy and go to the Quests section to be annoyed and lose all motivation for playing the game for a while. So far, the main quest line has been easy in regards to decision-making. But now, i'm basically at a path that forks into multiple directions and i don't know which one to take. And that analogy perfectly summarizes what's bothering me. And don't get it twisted. I'm not saying that i only prefer Option A or Option B, and that in New Vegas i have TOO MANY options. It's more like: i have no CLUE what's going to happen due to the interconnected nature of making those decisions. If i help Mr Vegas, what happens? Does it end there? If i help the Brotherhood, does the main questline end at some point. I went ahead and beat Dead Money first as it was the first DLC. And at the end of it, i learned the 'Definitive Ending' nature of New Vegas first hand. I read the message in the computer terminal and was locked away in the vault, and the credits rolled. No big deal, i save smart, so i just finished it a different way. But that right there is another variable that makes the decision-making FAR MORE ANNOYING!

I suppose in the end it really is about the number of decisions you have. Decision A, or Decision B, and you have a VAGUE but CLEAR ENOUGH picture of what's going to happen when you make those decisions. I haven't done SHIT with the Platinum Chip and i've been playing for 60 hours. I just talked to Mr. Vegas and learned of what he wants me to do. Mostly, i've been occupied with side quests and just taking in the new Mojave wasteland as it's a very refreshing change from the Capital Wasteland. I think my available extra-curricular activities have started to dwindle. And i'm going to have to go back to the main Quest. I've been carrying the Platinum Chip around for so long that i may as well call it the "Pulp Fiction Ass Watch".

Basically whatever side you help ends up winning... Some endings play out more beautifully that others and there's also options to betray while far along .. Honestly, just pick whoever you like the personality of and have fun with it you can always replay it later and do things differently.

Yeah. The direction of the factions seem very multi paradigm. Or at least very unclear. The "Fight the Power" perk's description makes it seem like all the factions are just pure BS, lol. But from what i gather, the definitive side is to go with the NCR. We've got an NCR Ranger on the cover of the game, after all. But still, the way certain NPCs talk about the NCR make them seem like A-holes for whatever reason.

And the Brotherhood of Steel are straight-up dipshits in New Vegas. What the hell? I understand their original mission was to secure technology, but still. They can still recover technology and not be dicks...
