I have a system with USB2 by default. However it also has six PCI-Express Gen2 slots. (Making them x8 possibly?)
Considering I have had connection drop-out issues with USB3 in the past with on-board controllers on other systems (I use Linux primarily but I have heard drop-outs happen on Windows too), are there reasonable PCI-Express USB3 expansion cards (bonus points for low profile) that work well with Linux generally and are not known for connection drop-outs?
