Introducing the Kairos - the "mechanical smart watch hybrid." There will be two version of this smartwatch mechanical automatic timepiece hybrid. The base movement on the dial is either a Japanese Miyota or Swiss Soprod automatic. On top of it is a semi-transparent screen for all the smartwatch functionality.
That is exactly what I've been asking for in a smart watch (maybe they read my rants!), since the digital screen only watches look kind of stupid IMO. Too bad the watch dial it's self isn't my style, but hopefully someone will do a similar watch with a more classic looking dial. And, you know, for less than $500 bucks.
I think $500 is in the "normal standard price range" for such mechanical watch even without the "smart fictions" ... if something similar comes around 250$-300$ i think it will be a bargin ... i should stop wasting my money on alcohol :D
I don't have to pull my phone out of my pocket just to see what time it is (or see a text or who is calling etc in the case of smart watches). Also, analog watches look nice.
A watch is a statement to your personality not just something to tell time its a beautiful engineering masterpice and much more useful to tell the time then a phone for me. :)
