Hello everybody , i need some help , i have some money and i want to upgrade my actual rig , the rig consists in a i5 2500k cooled by cooler master hyper 212 evo with 8 GB of kingston hyper x limited edition RAM a Radeon 7870 Gigabyte OC 2gb a z77 asrock pro4 a 128 Gb adata sxp900 as os drive and a 500 gb WD harddrive , all of these powered by a corsair TX750 power suply . So the question is , what will it be better , a 3770k and a z87 asus gryphon mobo or 8 GB more of RAM , another ssd to make a RAID config, a h110 cooler and another 7870? which option is better? O and btw i have a well ventilated case. Thermaltake overseer rx 1.
Thanks a lot guys:D and sorry for the bad grammar!
That CPU is still very good and I wouldn't bother upgrading it. Throw a better cooler on it and overclock it if you haven't already.
Unless you are doing video editing and other productivity you don't need more than 8GB of RAM.
An SSD in RAID 0 will be faster but unless you are writing massive files back and forth to it all day you won't notice much change. I'd avoid that.
For gaming the GPU is really what you want to change if you want better performance. I'd avoid going with CrossFire. The 7870s seem to have more CrossFire Issues, at least mine did, and usually CrossFire is a pita regardless of the card you have. I'd stick to a single GPU.
Sell your 7870 and grab an R9 280X (7970) or an R9 290. The GTX 770 and 780 are also very good.
I understand all the things but the only thing i'm against is about the gpu because of the money, the thing is i can get another 7870 for 200 buck or less but a 770 here is 800 bucks and i dont have that money .... that's the only thing that keeps me from buying a nvidia 780 or 770 . and its realy hard to sell gpu's here:(

First of all sorry for the double reply and second i live in Romania , Europe.Prices here are ok but it's hard to sell something second hand and hardware related.
Oh and is it an overkill to go for a 780ti? i can work extra hours for it:D. I'm going to bed but please replay if you can and i will respond tomorrow. Thanks alot
Well, it depends.
What do you use this computer for? A list of the major things you do on the computer would be great.
60% Gamming (Dota2 StarCraft2 LoL and BF3&4) and 40% Programming(c++ c# java html css js and a littlebit photoshop and ilustrator) and i want to learn some plender and unity.
I think your rig is still pretty good for your uses.
If you want more graphical performance, a graphics card upgrade would probably be your best bet.
