A modest build but was it for a modest price?

This is my sales receipt from Microcenter I finally broke down and decided to build a desktop vs always getting a gaming laptop to find out that it gets old and un upgradable a little over a year into owing it. I did this twice -,- now I said screw it might as well build a gaming pc since I have made a few for my friends already. Anyways I was wanting to get some critics on components as far as over clock ability on mobo and I will soon be buying a AIO closed loop cpu cooler next check. Oh yeah how did I do price wise o.0

Shoulda gone with a Xeon 1231v3 and a 390 potentially, but what's your display?

also 40 bucks for a 1TB drive? I need a micro center in my life

I preference to nvidia and it's program, I'm playing most games at 1080p but my display is UHD 4k 55 inch curved Samsung TV

a 390 would give you more performance, and could actually run some games at 4k potentially, mostly non intensive multiplayer games, plus it'll have better DX12/Vulkan support from the looks of it now.

Microcenter has these type of deals daily, I got my i7-4790k for 259.99 on sale (almost $100 less than amazon) and my WD Blue 1TB for about $45. Its a computer nerds dream with their Build Your Own PC section <3

ya looks pretty good

You did pretty good as far as prices paid. I would have maybe gone with a different motherboard but there really isn't anything wrong with the Z97 AR.
