Any good gaming mice out there for $50?
I find myself actually fighting the will of my current $7 mouse, lol. I want something good. Nothing silly with lights or weird stuff like that. I just want a good, strictly utilitarian gaming mouse.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Steelseries rival is pretty good.
I'm partial to the CM Storm Spawn. I've been using it for about two years, and it's just about good as new.
Pros:
The shape is fantastic for me, as I have large hands and like to touch the mouse only with my fingertips (I'm a pianist, think good piano form and you'll know how I hold the mouse). The short length lets me pull the mouse back into my palm without pushing it against the base of my palm, and I really like that. The width and dedicated ring finger groove spread my hand a little wider than the average mouse, which I find very comfortable. It's VERY light compared to an old G5 (my previous mouse). This made it feel a little unstable to me at first, but I never had any problems keeping it on the mouse pad, even with fast, broad sweeps.
Dings:
It has an unusual shape (personally I love it, but not everyone does), and reportedly has negative acceleration issues. However, I'm a low-sensitivity player (about nine inches for a 360 in most FPS games, sometimes 12) and I haven't had any issues with negative acceleration. The software it comes with is pretty lame. The side thumb buttons have more travel than they should, and a sort of ponderous click. They also don't seem to be back-plated with anything (they push in well past their engagement point), so I expect that they'll likely be the first switches to give up the ghost on the mouse.
