A few problems trying to install Ryzen AI

Hey guys,

I wanted to start learning and developping my own ai.

For this I selected to do it with Ryzen AI on a 8700G with its NPU.

Installed all the dependencies; which are: npu driver, Visual Studio 2022 community, cmake and miniforge python.
Made the path in environnement variables and all but the Ryzen AI installer threw at me that Conda environnement was not installed.
Tried a few times uninstalling and reinstalling components but no luck.

Tried with a fresh windows install, took the same steps, making sure everything was updated and still no luck, but the error this time is that VS2022 C++ is not installed and the driver isn’t installed.

I’ve been on that for a few hours and it’s starting to wear out my patience.

Would you have any recommendations on how to make that work?

Thank you.

Honestly, you probably are ment to run it under WSL2 as HIP and ROCm and the other technologies from AMD are first class citizens under GNU/Linux.

Thanks for the advice🙂
I finaly managed to get version 1.5.1 installed but it’s broken next to the 1.5.0.
I’ll give it a try under Linux as soon as I can.
