A bad PSU?

I think I have a bad PSU, but I'm unsure. My computer powers off occasionally when I play games. When I try to restart it, I have to turn off the PSU and turn it on again for it to start.

I thought maybe the CPU or the GPU is overheating so I opened the case, and used HWMonitor to track the temperature. This is what I got:

Skyrim (played for 30 min) (GPU fan on auto)

CPU:  Min temp: 22 C, Max Temp: 34 C

CPU Fan1: Min RPM: 1704, Max RPM: 1936

CPU Fan2: Min RPM: 1674, Max RPM: 1950

GPU: Min Temp: 45 C, Max Temp: 75 C

GPU Voltage: Min: 0.95 V, Max: 1.15 V

PSU +12V: Min 11.65, Max 12.29

PSU -12V: Min -11.58, Max -6.46

Company Of Heroes 2 (played for about an hour) (GPU fan on auto)

CPU:  Min temp: 22 C, Max Temp: 33 C

CPU Fan1: Min RPM: 1717, Max RPM: 1939

CPU Fan2: Min RPM: 1700, Max RPM: 1956

GPU: Min Temp: 48 C, Max Temp: 74 C

GPU Voltage: Min: 0.95 V, Max: 1.15 V

PSU +12V: Min 11.52, Max 12.29

PSU -12V: Min -11.58, Max -6.59

My system specs:

Gigabayte GA-990FXA-UD3 Rev 1.0, AMD FX-6100 @ 3.9 GHz (237 * 16.5), Sapphire HD 6850 stock, 2x4GB Corsair 1600 MHz CL9 @ 1580 MHz, an 60 GB SSD and two HDDs.

The PSU is Blueberry, 560W.

+5 - 25A

+3.3 - 16 A

+12 - 16 A

-5 - 0.5 A

-12 - 0.8 A

+5 VSB - 2A

This happens with Witcher 2, Heroes And Generals Beta, Skyrim, Company of Heroes 2 and a few other games.

All drivers are up to date including the BIOS.

+12 - 16 A

If this is true, it's 192W which is definitely not enough to power FX-6100 and HD 6850. A 500W PSU should have around 36A on 12V.

Bad psu is an understatement. Best grab a new one mate. xfx, seasonic, corsair, antec, silverstone

Those are not that easy to find in Europe and they are generally very much overpriced.

I usually get FSP500-60APN, it's a good PSU and costs only $50.

That explains the trouble I had with overclocking. And to think that I wanted to upgrade to an FX-8350! XD

How much power does an overclocked FX-8350 need?

Also that FSP500-60APN has two 12V rails with 18A each. I don't think that's an improvement, right?

Two 18A is 36A which is 432W. 408W in the actual thing. And FSP actually provide what they specify.

So they're not actually separate "true" rails?

Well, 500W PSUs with separate rails don't exist if it means having a separate power source for each rail.

One source is split into two separate rails for safety reasons.

I see. Thanks. Thanks to all of you.
