965 BE Normal Temps?

Hello all. Pretty simple question really. Just installed my AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE on my new rig yesterday.

 

Checked the temps, and I am idling at 48*C (118*F). Surely this is too high right? I am using the stock cooler, but havent even begun to play any games yet. I also applied a nice layer of thermal paste and have an antec 900 case. I live in Hawaii, and we are getting about 26*C (78*F).

Are these normal temps? I have been reading around and people are getting around 28*C.

Please help!

Well in a hotter climate, and the stock cooler that wouldn't surprise me tbh.

"A nice layer of thermal paste" isn't exactly inspiring! You may of applied too much as only a small pea siced blob is required in the middle.
