It would work but personally I would opt for a better motherboard when laying down that much for a system. Especially if you plan on overclocking a lot. The 8-cores take a ton of power to keep OC'd high under load. 970 chipset boards are geared more towards lower / tight budget builds. Other than that the build looks solid to me and would work fine for moderate overclocking.
