I'm considering of buying a ssd for my games only. I have a 250gb for my OS and a few programs. What I want to know is if there is a difference from boot times and game loading times between the 500gb and 1tb. I feel as if the 500gb is the right choice but if there isn't much difference I mine as well buy a 1tb just incase.
Just depends on the SSD and how much of it's capacity is being used up
I'm not Entirely sure what your question is, but i'm tired, there shouldn't be a performance difference SATA is the Bottleneck on 3D VNAND
Allyn Malventano on pc perspective, has some excellent Review's on 850 EVO's

in terms of speeds there wont realy be much of a diffrence between a 500GB and 1TB Samsung 850 EVO as far as i know.
Both drives are sollid, just depends on what you can afford.
Well they both are SOLID state drives....
Yeah main diffrence is that the 1TB has 98K read iops and the 500GB has 94K read iops.
That are the only diffrences.
I was trying to be funny because you said they are both solid...and I saw an opportunity and 'insert dad joke here'.
But I've failed
cry
I will still give you a like for originality! ☺
Just checked on my own drive and on the Samsung website and the 500GB, 1TB and 2TB model all have the same 98K IOPS read and 90K IOPS write.
@NeOZeN Speed difference between the 500GB and the 1TB model is practically none.
