Hey guys, my friend is looking for a new gaming PC and wants to spend around $800-$900 Canadian dollar. He wants a Razer blackwidow keyboard, and needs an OS and monitor. No mouse needed.
Plain and simple, can you guys please suggest the best $800-$900 Canadian gaming build including a Razer blackwidow keyboard, OS, and monitor?
Thanks!!
When you say OS are you fine with using Linux or must you have Windows?
Ok so let's look at this objectively.
He wants a system for 800-900 CAD.
He wants the OS (most likely Windows)
He wants a Razer BlackWidow Keyboard
Prices are in CAD
Win 7/8 OEM : ~$114
Razer Blackwidow Keyboard: $109
Out of a 900CAD bax budget, Just the OS and Keyboard reduce the actual parts budget to : ~$677CAD Call it 650CAD to be safe.
Since prices in Canada are higher, here is what I could scrounge. Some would say, use the Pentium G series but Games like GTA V lock you to Quad or better so that is a no-go.

Why the 270x and gtx960? are they cheaper than the 280? I have seen 270x for more or equal to 280 in 'murica. Also didn't read all of it
For this you have two options one of which will provide you the ability to upgrade in the future and one that doesn't but either way you'll be fine. I would personally go with the Intel option just because you have the ability to upgrade to an i5 later on.
yes. the prices in Canada are considerably higher.
