7nm IBM Superchip

Looks like even more bad news for AMD. Maybe IBM chips will make their way back to the PC market.

Hmm. Maybe. I'll still be waiting to see what Zen has. Honestly, what I'm excited about is that we're almost out of Moore's Law. You can only get so small, and 7nm is almost at the limit. Some people have estimated 2020 will be the year of the 1nm chip. That might be wishful thinking. But... Who knows what comes next. HBM styled processor stacking? Is that even possible? Doubling core count (hell, cell phones use 8+ cores these days)? Quantum computer engineers are giddy with this because they believe reaching the limit of Moore's Law will be what kick starts quantum computers.

AMD is going to be getting a piece of this pie.
