7950 or 7970 or should i wait for 8000

i am wondering should i get a new gpu now or should i wait for the 8000. Also what is a better buy the xfx 7950 or 7970 (or msi)

Depending on your budget, go for the better 7000 card because I don't think we are going to see the 8000 in awhile. :p

get a 7950 and overclock it. the performance differance between the two is small and im pretty sure the majority of 7970s are voltage locked.

I'd wait since news is just surfacing that the Nvidia 7xx series cards are going to start being released mid May so AMD can't be too far behind.

msi usually have nicer warranties that are oc firendly
