Hello, I am building a kinda~ish budget PC for recording/rendering/gaming , and I was wondering if I should get the 7950 or save the $50 7870 XT. Also if needed, here are the other parts:
Intel i7 3770
MSI B75MA-E33 Micro ATX
Corsair 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600
x2 Seagate 1 tb HDD
Silverstone Strider Essential 600W 80 PLUS Certified
get the 7870 and spend the extra money on a 3770k
drop the 3770k and 16gb and get a 8350 and 8gb and a 7970
I agree with Phosgene, if you are doing rendering and recording, get AMD 8350.
You can allways add more RAM, but replacing a GPU or CPU is more of a hassle.
*you will need a new motherboard, if possible, go for ATX motherboard, many micro ATX motherboards lack a few features and they do not support 212 evo (it just wont fit), the stock version that comes with CPU should do the job, if you dont overclock it.
