7870 or 7950?

I have about $330. I'm looking to upgrade my oldish (about 3 years but was VERY good for it's time) pc, I am a bit worried I could be bottlenecking if I get the 7950 and don't spend $100 on something like faster, more ram, or even saving up for a new cpu (don't have a job), I will have two moniters but will most likely game on one at 1920 x 1080, tbh I don't know that much about the system as im getting it from my dad so please don't ask too much about the system. I will be doing video editing, some graphic design, and normal school stuff.

thank you in advance

what are your specs now, for 330$ id definitley get a 7950

You either go hard or go home. Don't just buy one thing at a time because usually by the time you are finished then you will already have spent money on something that has been dated. Once you have money for all those things then I would buy the parts, but it is just my opinion.
