7850 performance feels weak

Hi people, like said in the title, my 7850 performance feels really weak, I think I expected more from it since I watched a lot of videos, reviews, comparisons and benchmarks. In those the card seemed to be rather good, most game ran smoothly at 1920x1080 with pretty much everything at high settings or maxxed out.

I'd like to give a exemple, FEZ really graphically simple game, hell it could run on my mom's computer (I'll spare my mom's PC specs for its own sake...poor machine that has to deal with my mom, her boyfriend and my sis all day long :( ) and yet I experience some sort of stutter when the screen is moving, almost like if my system was having a hard time delivering the picture...

I could get on how poorly I run Farcry 3, but I guess everybody is having issues with it since Dunia2 is a bad engine if I dare say. 

my build is as follow:

-fx-8350 stock clock w/ stock cooler

-corsair vengeance pro 1866 2x4gb.

-CM GX750 PSU.

-asus m5a99x evo r2.

-asus 7850 dc2 2gb @stock settings

.-seagate barracuda 7200rpm 1tb 32mb.


Software side I have the catalyst version 13.9 left at default,
never updated the bios, barely fiddle around in it, I'm waiting to get enough knowledge before attemping anything that could break my baby.

If you have any clues, tips or valuable knowledge to share, please do it, it may just lead me to my ultimate goal of the moment: reaching ABSOLUTE OPTIMIZATION.

After consulting google, all I can think is that the drivers might be the issue. According to this http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Fez drivers might be the biggest issue for most players. 

The only other thing that I can think of that would cause stuttering is either heat, or the FPS is too high for monitor. What kind of stuttering is it exactlly?

Might be worth the trouble to try out different drivers if you want to play the game.

it is not screen tearing, even though I suffer from it, it doesn't really bothers me since its a natural thing, the kind of stuttering I'm talking about is litteraly stuttering, or more micro-stuttering, as if the system was loading things, you know, when fraps is displaying a stable framerate but your eyes begs to differ...
