My video card on my 780i mobo is blocking my PCI-express slot. I have a PCI-express wireless-N-adapter and was wondering if there is any other slot on the mobo that i can plug this PCI-express card into. I'm only using one PCIe 2.0 slot (ie. 1 video card) and the wireless N adapter is the D-Link DWA-556. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
780I Have 3 PCI ex slots.... Yes, you can put it in any of them
So you're saying that the little PCI-express card can go into the other 2 PCIe 2.0 slots? I don't mean to sound like an idiot, it's just that the PCIe 2.0 slot is so big compared to the PCI-express card input.
Here's a link to the card:

Yes you can, they are both pci-e and the only difference is the number of pins, thats why its x16 x8 x4 and x1!
Ah thanks for the enlightenment!
y not just get a good USB wireless stick?
B/c i got this wireless n adapter for 50% off retail price :D
hmm I never new you could put the smaller PCI-E cards in the biggest PCI-E slots you guys sure?
I thought the same, I think it needs to go in the small PCI-E slot not a big one

styles lol
@ met@l ghost: The guy told me to put the PCIe 1x card in the PCIe 2.0 slots not in any PCI slots.
metal ghost your wrong, he can put the card in any one of the green slots he wants and it will work.
well try it and see if it works and if it doesnt work in the green PCI-E slot you need to but it in the small PCI-E slot
lol this has gotten so over complicated! Just poke it in a slot and see if it works, if it doesnt, try a different slot!
