780 sli power supply

I know I know. Why do I need sli. Single 780 is plenty. It'd be more for the luxury and possibility of 4k in the future. I've come across a gtx 780 used for about $350. My current setup.

8gb corsair vegence ram

i7 4770k

gtx 780

H100i cooling

cosair cx 750 psu

Corsair says the power supply is sli ready but I'm worried about wattage. Is it enough? I've googled around and got conflicting reports. I'm running everything stock clock right now and it'll probably stay that way for a while. If I want to overclock I can always upgrade power supply but for now it's pretty new. So is the cx 750 enough to handle it?

I think the Newegg PSU calculator tends to over estimate. While the one on PCpartpicker tends to underestimate. I think you will be fine assuming you're not overclocking. But I'll let you be the judge of that your self.

750W should be fine ☺

750W is plenty, and it can provide 62A on the +12V rail. There's nothing to worry about here, it'll work perfectly fine and don't listen to PSU calculators, they always overestimate. You can definitely overclock to your hearts content with this as well.

Thanks Guys. I guess I did forget to mention the 3 hard drives I'm running. Hoping that doesn't change things much.

Nah, that should be fine. 3 harddrives are definitely <30W so they wouldn't make too much of a difference.
