750ish$ Tower/Monitor setup. Give me some tips/revisions, ordering in 2 weeks

Tired of waiting, so going to combine what I have with income taxes and just get something that'll do what I currently need an upgrade as I go. Here's what I picked out, http://pcpartpicker.com/p/xADn .

I have an old IDE hard drive I can get the OS from if I can plug it right into a converter on the USB port when I'm first setting it up. I honestly don't know how to switch the OS to the barracuda though. So if you'd help me with that I'll probably love you forever. I guess this is a good time to ask for any tips and help getting through the bios stuff and new AMD drivers when I set it up, I haven't ever built a computer all on my own, I always had help.

But either way if you guys have any revisions to my build lemme know! I want to stick with the case because I want a window, and my builds scheme I'm going for is mainly black with hints of red.

I already have a DVD drive/burner and 2x4G of G.Skill Ripjaws RAM.

Good sir have you looked at the XFX 550w PSU? IT is $11 cheaper, more amps on the 12v rail and provides a longer warranty as well, it is a proper good deal especially when it saves you money.

That is a pretty solid system you have there, i will link you with a a solid building tutorial from start all the way to windows installation etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPIXAtNGGCw&list=PLB029F381E29C6002&index=5

I am sure someone who knows how to move the OS from IDE will help you out on that good sir.

I don't really have youtube access besides an iPhone. I'm cyber schooled so I'm using the school laptop, most sites are blocked. I picked the Hive because it's modular which is a big plus especially since I haven't built a computer in a long time.

If you can in the future to get on youtube, the guide goes through all the BIOS setup and drivers installs, if not just come here and ask us while youre building it and we will help you out.

The modular PSU definitely makes cable management easy but is it worth it over a stronger/more warranty/cheaper psu good sir?

Eh. I love XFX but honestly I trust the Rosewill. If it comes down to it I could put more into a PSU. But in the mean time I think it's fine. I consider rosewill to be one of better PSU makers. I'd rather not spend more though.
