7 fans too many?

I have the Nzxt Phantom 410 (Red) and am not planing any overclocking at all.

I will be rocking a stock cooler and a reference design graphics card.

My case has room enough for 7 fans of the 120mm (4) and 140mm (3) flavors.

My question, is it ridiculous overkill to have 7 fans for this system?

Thank you for your time

Yes

If you already have the fans then it wouldn't hurt, it just might be a bit noisier

yes, but if you have the fans, keep adding them until its too loud.

remember, you want airflow, not all intake. (intake in the front and bottom, output out the back and top. side fans are usually better if its input unless you have tons of intake already)

nope not at all i have 7 corsair sp 120mm fans in my scout running at 10-7volts and that airflow helps out a tun

if I remember correctly that the NZXT  Phantom has space for a mahooosize fan ie 200mm and in which case (Pun intended) it will make less noise so is better than a 120 opr 140

More fans and less rpm. You could also get a fan controller and set the fans to run at 5V.

The only downside to all those fans is the noise. Just as long as you have good airflow all those extra fans really aren't necessary but in the end it's really up to you isn't it?
