I got a 7.68tb NVME Enterprise drive and windows and Ubuntu can see it, but when I try to do any type of format, I get a permission denied. Is there a way to bypass this denial?

So it looks like the drive has self encryption and everytime I try to use this drive in Windows 11, it asks me for a password

Was it a windows drive originally? If so it is probably bitlocker encrypted
Does Linux even have a thing to care about BitLocker? I guess that’s where we start is what OS are you on?
This drive was from an IBM Enterprise system.
I am using Ubuntu and the NVME-cli.
I swapped the drive to a different computer and upon boot it asks for a password for the drive. I think the encryption is still active. I have requested the ebay seller to return the drive.
I had another drive (3.2tb) that I was able to do a secure erase and it works great, but this 7.68tb drive does not want to allow any type of change.
LBA format unsupported
unable to change block size or LBA
the only commands that work are list and id-ns
