Pulling my hair out. About to reinstall windows again.
Anyone else on windows 7 with a 6800k? I must be missing a software package
Edit- I installed all the drivers on the asrock disc at first. Same issue. Then after messing with it for a while i reinstalled windows and tried the drivers from the website with the same result.

Have you updated windows fully? If you haven't you should do that. That may be your issue. Service Packs and all.
Then one has to deal with the attempt to force you to upgrade to windows 10
I haven't updated windows fully. Good place to start. I'm not thinking clearly. I'm more of a hardware person and would rather the software just work for me lol.

my win 7 ultimate seemed to install correctly
but after that, i immediately went on to "free upgrade" to win 10(for the slic license) and then to "fresh install" win 10(to loose any potential baggage)
my only issue now is,
my phone wont recognize as a usb storage device...
it worked when i was using the 7 to 10 upgrade version,
but not on the "fresh install" version
but yea,
make sure you go to the mobos web page and grab your newest chipset drivers and such
also update your bios
