I just installed one on my new PC. I was wondering what the safest overclock would be?It's pretty cool (temp) where it is (around 55C) and I don't want to push it.

If those are your idling temps thats a little high. At idle it should be between 30-40C a safe core temp is around 75C I wouldn't push it any farther then that temp.
Nah, the 55C was under load. (Bioshock Infinite)
Use msi afterburner

acording to nvida the max temps are 105 C (but i wouldn't go past 70c) but that's entirely up to you.
Start with small overclocks and test it then keep going antill you find a spot you are comfortable with.

Ya but I would download evga percision form another site and use that.
55C is really low for under load. You could probably push it much further than that.
I've got a 650 ti boost 2gb with bioshock at ultra settings I get around 60C the best program I've found for overclocking a graphics card is EVGA precision X
