650 ti or Radeon hd 7770?

i have a choice between a :

1gb EVGA geforce gtx 650 ti (140$)

or

2 gb ASUS radeon hd 7770 (130$)

im on a strict budget of 500$ for my whole cpu

which one is better?

The 650ti will beat the 7770   9 times out of 10.

to combat the 650ti at that price point AMD just released the 7790, but it's still new and over your budget @ $150

go the 650ti

i'd suggest modifying your build to fit a 7850

I'd suggest waiting for the 7790. They're suppose to hit the market in masses during the first week of April at $150, though a manufacturer might have a promo/sale.

There is one available now though from Sapphire

@ $500 i just don't think he can. even if it's worth it.

7770 is legit it'll run some games for you.  I've never used a 650 ti.  Seriosly though the best bang for your buck video card is a 7870 when you can get them on sale.

do you think that the 7850's price would drop by july?

sadly in canada that would probably never happen :P

looking @ 7850, i'm seeing lowest around $175, most around $200 and a few $240'ers. Will there be a drop in july? I don't think so. a price drop would be cause by a release of amds next gen, which isn't until '13 Q3/Q4 (rumors) unless it's a 4th of july sale! :P

So no, i don't think there will be any price drops, unless it's a promotion/sale

would you reccomend a gtx 570 , its on sale for 150 right now :D

it's a generation old. but for $150 i would beat you to it if i had the money.

yes it's worth it

would you take it over a 650 ti or a 7850 or a 7790?

YES. that sale, is too irresistable
