$650 Build Help

I put together this build for about 650 and am wondering your suggestions on anything I should have changed and any possible future upgrades.

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong sub forum, this is my first post. I am new here.

Went with the i5 4440 instead of a 4460 just to be sure that you won't need a bios update. Sapphire make nice cards, that are also cheaper. The PSU might seem a little overkill for the build, but it has the same price as the 500w version. The only thing missing is an SSD. You don't "need" it, but it would be a nice touch.  If you could manage to stretch your budget by some $70, you would be golden.

Alright a little over budget but thank you for the suggestion Ill see what I can do.

Heres my option you can grab a OS Key dirt cheap from this site like 20 usd and under http://mskeystore.tictail.com/, Although you it may take a while to get your key. Here is my build. As for installing the operating system if you have a spare computer lying around install Windows 7 to usb Tool from Microsoft. It will work with Windows 8 and you can ask the guy if you need a Windows 8 ISO. Also Flash drives are dirt cheap too. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/BnDgpg

Here's what I'd recommend

n o

shitty board, shitty power supply, shitty cooler

I'd go this way. I took out the additional fans (not needed), the optical drive and the operating system.

Why? I focused on the core components of your system. I'm sure you'll find another 20-30 bucks for an OS (or just go with Windows 10 preview for free) and another 20 for an optical drive if you really need one (I don't put any in my builds anymore). So if you go with this you'll need to stretch it a little bit but it will be very well worth it. Especially the R9 290 at that price point will make your machine pretty beastly in games at an amazing price.

This build is great for the money remember you can always remove the optical drive if you want and upgrade something else. Also buying an os from pcpartpicker is a rip off.

PLEASE not that motherboard.

Could also do with a better power supply as well.

Tech Noob the power supply is by EVGA and it's a 750 watt I dont see whats wrong with it I dont understand why you don't like the motherboard either.

MSI is well known to have problems with AMD and i mean major problems like burned VRMS because the vrms that are used on the MSI are not that good quality compared to Asus or Gigabyte. In the real terms that if you decide to overclock you may notice a nice smell of burnt electronics or it may happen straight away. It also applies to the MOSFETS as well. Too sum things up MSI uses low quality cheap components onto their motherboards which can lead to problems.

I just had two MSI FM2+ Boards crap out on me in two weeks. They were brand-new. One out of three worked!

Very mediocre voltage regulation.

And as others have stated, the G43 and G46 are really low quality.  4+1 phases also won't help with 8 core power draw.
