630$ gaming PC (need reviews)

so i have a new PC build that i am starting to save up on, and i'm upgrading from a... hp pavilion for gaming, the laptop has an AMD A4 apu, and 6 gigs of ram.. but lest get to the real subject i have all the parts below, i need opinions on it, can i upgrade for cheap, or will my processor bottleneck the graphics card?

i have so SSD at the moment or DVD drive, i plan to add those things later

WAIT, i forgot to add that i am on a 700$ budget, from the fact that i work, and am saving up for this PC with my OWN money. "FWI" making 7.25, so slowly might just buy the parts

I hope you don't have your heart set on that case. There really aren't any good mATX AM3+ motherboards. So you'll need to grab either a different case and go with an Asus M5A97 R 2.0 or keep the case and get an Athlon with an FM2+ motherboard or go with Intel if you want to keep the same level of performance that you'd get with the 6 core in that form factor.

You also forgot the RAM and assuming you need an OS?

An no an FX 6350 won't bottleneck until you start Xfiring very high end cards like R9 280Xs.

This is what I'd build. $690 an the R9 270X will walk all over that 750 Ti.

ahh sorry the ram was

Holy shit that RAM is expensive.

My rig I built you is better anyway.

alright thanks for the feedback

Just a heads up, that CM Hyper 212 wont fit right in that case unless you take a ball peen hammer to the panel a little bit where the copper pipes touch. Just tall enough to make the panel not shut. PCPartPicker doesn't say it doesn't fit but I've tried it in a Tempest 210 which is the exact same thing as the Source 210 internally. I also see a completed build using this case and having the same problem on PCPartPicker. http://pcpartpicker.com/b/HKB

And the 1866 8GB G.Skill Ares set is the same price as the 1600 kit and the color matches the board. (Sorry, ocd) Other than those two things you are good http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f31866c9d8gab

Thanks for the heads up about the cooler! Honestly had no idea. I usually don't recommend the Source 210 and go with a Fractal which I have way more experience with but the NZXT is much cheaper lol

No problem bro. And I've never even considered a Fractal case before, I've been missing out a bit. All I have right now are NZXT cases. Did a build for a buddy using the Tempest 210. If the Tempest/Source 210s were just 2-3mm wider, and had 140mm fan mounts up front, they would be awesome cases. The other thing I dont like it that the 140mm fan up top kinda blocks the hole to route the cpu power cable. You may be able to take it out, route the cable then put it back in but i haven't tried that, I just swapped and gave him one of my 120s, and put it in the front as an intake.

But anyway, glad I could help and hopefully OP checks back before he orders anything. We may have to message/email him if he doesn't.

Source 220 fits Hyper 212s.

I had an old NZXT case, the NZXT apollo.  Great outsides, shitty inside.  They've come a long way, though.

Meanwhile I'm sitting here and loving my Fractal Design Node 304.

How do they fit when the 220 is the exact same width as the 210? You wouldn't be able to shut the panel without rubbing the cooler enough to make it slide around on top of the cpu. http://pcpartpicker.com/b/Kj7 This dude has a pic where you can tell it's not gonna fit without rubbing. Personally I think the OP should save up another $20-25 so he can get a Tempest 410 or a case of the same width for a similar price. Microcenter has the Corsair Carbide 300R for $60 after mail in rebate. Or get a different cooler instead.

much better for $686

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3h4P8

$705 with the atx version of that case

That's weird, I saw a Hyper 212X in a Source 220 the other day...

The Hyper 212 wont fit in the Source 210 man. Or the Tempest 210. Or the Source 220.

It could very well depend on how tall the cpu socket is with the cpu in it. I'd like to see a pic, and know what motherboard if possible

Hyper 212+ heatsink height: 158.5mm

Source 210 heatsink clearance: 160mm

$795 build to replace the $785

OMG It wont fit dude. I tried it. Look at the rest of the thread. There are plenty of people on PCPartPicker and Toms Hardware that have proved the Hyper 212 EVO does NOT fit.

The TX-3, and T4 will fit tho.

And the BitFenix Comrade is thinner than the Source 210.

Outer thickness really doesn't matter when it comes to CPU cooler compatibility

The comrade has a CPU cooler clearance of 160mm. Again, the hyper 212 evo is 158.5 (159)mm tall. So, it should fit.

And my second build (on first post) using the n600 will also fit the evo with a fair bit of room to spare.
