600w psu enough for gpu upgrade?

Im hoping to upgrade my gpu from a 7850 to a 380x soon. Was hoping i wouldn't have to get a new psu but what do you guys think? i have the 8350 overclocked to 4.4 so im not sure how much extra power draw that makes. According to newegg it says minimum psu is 500 but xfx recomends 650 for the 380x. My build is below.

Buy a watt meter and see for your self....Mine was about $25AUS. My PC runs at about 250W idle and 500W at load.

This was cool but my eyes opened when I put it on my heater and air conditioner.

You'll be fine making the upgrade.

Please explain.

because of how much power it drew

Ohhhhhh.

You should see what 220 volt stuff draws....Stove,dryer or baseboard electric heaters:)

Yes you will be fine

600W should be more then enough.

Thanks for replys!

As it happens I was talking to Ed from Sapphire about PSU requirements for their R390X on Monday. He told me 650 fine so long as good quality clean supply. Getting a SuperFlower myself, in his opinion he said to avoid the Corsair as their internals aren't that good. Just relaying his advice, but was planning SuperFlower anyway as know they are excellent.

7950 to a 380x isn't much of an upgrade.

its not based on the 7950. the r9 380x is based on a tonga gpu.

I misread 7850 as 7950. A much more substantial upgrade for sure.

Yea my 7850 is really starting to show it's age with the new games!

Yes, unless you want a 650W version instead.

380X is based on the R9 285, but fully unlocked. It's quite an efficient card.

600w is fine as others have stated.
