$600 Gaming PC Build

So it is time that I build my own PC.  My budget, sadly, is $600.  What is even more sad is that it has to include the monitor and keyboard.

The base total must be $600 (give or take).  Mail-in rebates need not apply.

I, with the help of others, came up with this build:

Used Phenom 1000t 100$

Used CrossHair IV Extreme 100$

1x8GB DDR3 70$

1920x1200 Monitor 100$

GTX 760 230

Whatever CHEAP case you like 40$

Keyboard Mechanical 50$

you could always wait a few more weeks or months and spend more

Here's a bit cheaper alternative to your build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2S6yB

The motherboard is a bit better and the GPU is a bit weaker, but they're pretty similar.  You probably wouldn't notice much of a difference between the r7 260x and the 7770.  The 260x is just a rebranded 7790.

Let me just say…BOOM! Dropping the hammer with this one!

I went with an APU because you are on such a tight budget. That being said, you can get a little creative with this and switch it out for a regular CPU & GPU. You could even throw on an after-market cooler and still be under budget ( I recommend the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo). If you live near a Microcenter, you could possibly get a FX-6000 series along with an MSi Mobo, you get about $50 off the combo! But, even then, trying to squeeze in a GTX 650 or a Radeon 7770 puts the base total at about $700.

This is the best I could do for you anyhow. Hope this helps!

I appreciate the help guys.  I decided, after a few hiccups, to get with an APU build. (7850k)

Should be great :)

Huh, never heard a cat hiccup before. It must have been…a-meow-zing…get it? It's like amusing but…heh…ahh, never mind.

Happy that you came to a decision. Enjoy your PC!

Just..no, haha.

Thanks, can't wait for it to get it!  I will be happy to get rid of this stupid laptop.

Believe me, it's like a dream.

$400 labor day sale laptop to a used $225 gaming rig was a dream lol.  Performance difference was crazy.
