5930k @4.589 53C max load and 1.309 Volts ok?

1st time overclocking does this sound right for this CPU, or is this a bit to far on the voltage?

5930k @4.589 53C max load and 1.309 Volts ok?

Yes looks very good to me.
May i ask which motherboard?

x99 sabertooth in a corsair carbide air 540 and h100i 64 Gb of ram

Cool.
4.6GHz stable on all cores with 1.309V is realy good.

I am still testing but it seems to have passed everything so far doing a cine bench down and ran stress test for 35 min no issues or odd temps.

Maybe you won a lotterly with that chip.
You could save the profile wenn its stable,
and try if you maybe could even bump it higher on the same voltage maybe.

What would be do hot for this chip like 65 under load for video renders and editing? I saw 60C for a few seconds on 3 cinebench runs in row.

well as long as you stay below 85°C / 90°C you should be fine.

I tried 4.6689 ghz at that voltages and it was a no go on windows boot.

Then you could try to a slight voltage bump.

lets say, multiplier 47 @ 1.32V

Anything else i should change with that?

i dont think so,
i suppose that you did not do any ram overclocking or cache overclocking, but just bumped up the cpu multiplier?

Of course 4.6GHz is allready a very nice number on 1.309V.

it posted on 4.7 checking voltage now 42 C idle

4.7 1.306 core voltage 54 C during stress test at the moment. Also only on a H100I GTX

So the voltage is exaly lower? thats suprising.
you run the voltages on auto?
If its rock stable at that, then you won the silicon lottery with that 5930K.

Allways fun to try how far you could push it.
Of course for daily usage you might back it off a little.
Because the real world performance increase from lets say 4.5GHz to 4.7GHz isnt that mind blowing.

Yea I have been running auto most of this time now its showing 4.6 at 1.311V and testing at this.

54-58C under full load.

Yeah you got pretty good numbers.

Hopefully when I upgrade to the 6980X 10 core I can get some numbers like this whenever that chip comes out. (:

That is a good OC with the amount of volts you have going to the cpu.
