I want to upgrade the gpu on my PC, but I'm still undecided on whether to get another 560TI and run it with the one I have, or scrap it and buy one GTX 690?
I don't know much about SLI performance, so any thoughts?

Chances are you wont need anything more powerful than a GTX 680. AT MAX.
But if you have to choose between those two, I'd go for the 690.. It will decimate 2x 560ti's in performance.
I've been pretty disappointed with the 560ti since I got it to be honest. I plan on getting some new tubing for my waterblock so in my world (a world of shopping delights) I feel I should treat myself to a decent GPU while I'm at it. The 690 is dropping in price every day though so I might put it off for a bit - cheapest I've found is £770 which is a wee bit extravagant.
Disppointed with the 560ti, probably because of the vram limitation. I reckon if you went with a 670 or 680 now and got another towards end of life when the price is at it's lowest point would be a good option.
No contest. Go with the GTX 690. Although, I would also consider the 7970 X2.
