I am going to build a PC for a friend soon. However I can't think of a decent build because of the insanely low budgett. It's $550 for EVERYTHING, keyboard, mouse, monitor. I was thinking of an A10-5800k with a decent cooler to overclock. She wants to play games like minecraft, BF3, Garry's Mod, TF2.
If its possible, could you please include the BitFenix Prodigy?

Is a 650 really good enough for gaming?
650ti is much better than useing a APU you can get good 720p gameing and even 1080p gameing if you drop the setings down
How about a 7790?
A 650ti is in between a HD 7770 and the HD7790 but if you what to spend the extra on the 7790 you mayaswell get a 7850 its not much more than the 7790
$152.98 7790
$159.99 7850
Sorry if I'm acting rude or demanding but is there a build possible with the BitFenix Prodigy? She prefers if the PC would be small.
the BitFenix Prodigy is expencive >_> but i will try
I KNOW!!!! That's the problem. I try anything and it becomes underpowered :(

if you can find a cheap hd 6670 you can crossfire it with the APU
that's really expensive for a 500 gig hard drive
edit: ok maybe not, but for literally only a couple bucks more you could get double
No not realy but if you add $10 you can get a 1TB hdd
you can probably find a reconditioned hdd or a 5500rpm one a little cheaper
It's almost impossible to build a Mirco ITX build for $550 especially in a prodigy. AMD does not have many Micro ITX motherboards due to their CPU size being much larger then Intel forcing you to go Intel. What sucks about this is that Intel is much more expensive then AMD and you won't be able to build a good Intel machine in an ITX form factor with $550 without making it underpowerd like you said. You're gunna have to go ATX Mid-Tower if you want to go for that low of a budget.

This is the case I use, its got a carrying handle for easier transport as a Mid-Tower
I will go exactly for the same build cooperman made (the very first one). But I'd change the GTX 650 Ti for a HD 7770 or a HD 7790.
Btw, do you need mouse monitor and keyboard?
Here we go... I hope your friend can get an extra $50... because thats what its gonna take.

Fractal core 1000 is smaller than a prodigy.

Just my crack @ it. Probly not the best.
Well 7850 is not much more than a 7790? Dude 7850 more steam processars and 258bits!
errr maybe you shude read the comment again...its not much more as in its only $10 more
I know how much faster it is
duncan33303 did a $600 in a prodegy, but you'd have to cut it down just a bit to get to 550, but it doesn't count the extras
if you have a resale shop near you you could see if they have any keyboards/mice/speakers/ maybe a cheap/old/small lcd /tv with a vga input
it wouldn't be good stuff, but it might work well enough for dirt cheap
