$500 pc that can record dayz on medium settings?

is that a possible build?

not really, recording is VERY intensive.....

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure Hutch and SeaNanners both record their PC gameplays on a Razer Blade, which depending on the generation each has, is either a 550M or 650M GPU.  That tells me it's possible, but I don't have the experience to tell you for sure.

Those laptops are also running i7's, but not a hugely expensive one.

Recording requires more than just a speedy gpu, you need a lage cache of vram, a powerful cpu to encode HD video in realtime, and a HDD with a fast write speed. I'm pretty sure hutch and seananners simply play on their razer blades and use an external capture card to record video output. If you want a cheap solution that's your best bet, a cheap little $150 HD capture card that you can hook up to your videocards output.
