≈$500 "Oculus Rift" Build - Kill My Console

So I'm planning to build a gaming desktop mainly for steam games. Being a VR enthusiast, I'm also going to buy the "Oculus Rift" so I'm trying to have something decent that can run the two 1920x1080 (3840x2160?) monitors which the "Rift" is mentioned to have.
Heres the build:

  • Athena Power CA-GSB01DA
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-3330 Ivy Bridge 3.0GHz (3.2GHz Turbo) LGA 1155
  • GPU: EVGA 01G-P4-2650-KR GeForce GTX 650
  • Motherboard: ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP LGA 1155
  • Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
  • Storage: I have some old SSD's I could probably use
  • PSU: what should the estimated wattage be guys?

And then the average wireless adapter. I'm pretty sure this all is compatible with each other. I'm not so sure about bottlenecks though, but to be on the safe side, any thoughts?

lol.

If you don't want storage, 7870 would fit in nicely, or could spend a tiny bit more and grab a 2gb 7850.

Just used the 1gb cause it was better than a 7790 and fit in budget.

Don't buy an i5 at that price l0l.

Lol yeah. Don't get an i5, just get a phenom 955 or a fx 6300. Much better for the price. I bet you could spend the same amount and get a phenom 955 (or even a cheaper phenom that you can overclock) and a freaking 7870 or even a 7950 for $260 on sale.

But damn thats a good deal on the 500gb hdd.

Thats becase its a Refurbished hdd
