4k Monitors -- Are they worth the trouble?

Hey fam. Quick topical questionnaire...

Are 4k monitors really worth the money for gaming? I don't see any popular YouTubers or streamrs (jackfrags, Frankiein1080p) using 4k monitors or anything of the sort. Seems they stick to ASUS 24" screens @ 1080p & 120mhz refresh rate. What are the refresh differences, etc?

60Hz is no good for a lot of games, Some it doesn't matter.

I'm waiting for UHD 120Hz for £300ish, otherwise its not a worthwhile upgrade for me.

I see. I guess I'll wait for that too, then! I'm still learning a lot of stuff involving this so any advice is helpful.
