4k hdmi dongle, want 1080p

While waiting for computer parts I have also ordered a HDMI monitor dongle as it was stated in requirements and I dont have second monitor.

I have finally configured gpu passtrough and looking class so I get the image by using hdmi dongle but windows are now using fake monitor as 4k which doesnt fit to my real 1080p monitor which you can imagine is useless.

Is there any way to configure either windows (11) vm or looking glass to use 1080p instead or will I have to buy another HDMI dongle that will use 1080p?

Just set the resolution to 1080p in Windows Settings. That should do the trick.
Also check your refreshrate. You probably have to set it manually.

im guessing the dongle is a HDMI dummy plug, its just a dead-end device, and i dont believe they have any defined limits, as Chris_S says you can just set it any resolution.
