4k GPU

Alright so I have a 4k surround monitor setup and it's all being powered by 2 MSI GTX 780 lightning in SLI. Most games run smoothy on high settings that don't require much (Gmod on highest settings runs smoothly for examply) but games like dead rising 3 starts to choke if I put it on max. I want to know what gpu I should upgrade to in the near future to run 4k surround smoothly?

I was thinking somthing likw two titan blacks in sli or a titan z(even though it's not designed for gaming)

Thank you.

2/3x GTX 980 (Ti) or R9 390(x).

There isn't anything really worth upgrading to. The 780 Ti isn't that much more powerful than a 780, same for a Titan Black (for the price).

Also, Dead Rising 3 is optimized like shit. At least at launch SLI didn't even work. I'm not sure if that's been fixed yet.

What do you think would be most benificial? I only have room for two slots. The reason why its performing slow (correct me if I'm wrong) is because of the memory. I only have 3gb per card. 3x2=6GB

I believe if I up the memory with a titan Z or something it should perform better.

That's not how video card memory works.

When you run SLI or Xfire, you only use the memory of one card.

The titan z is overpriced junk. Get the 295X2 if you want two gpus on one board. Otherwise two 780 Ti or two 290X's in sli/crossfire will perform at roughly 60 fps in most games at 4k. I'd just suggest the 295X2 cause they are now $1000.

Woah someone has money. Once you're done with your 780s and have moved on to the 980s want to send my your 780s? ;) I just upgraded but I could use them somewhere...

I'm planning to sell my 780's to get my next gpu lol.

You will want to get 1 980Ti when it comes out to be able to play games at 4K from med-high. Minimum.

I think he is asking about 4k surround so 3x4k he will need 2 of those 980Ti cards, I don't know, but we will see.

titan z = slower, 2x titan black = no difference. GPU scaling starts to go off the rails over 2x anyway, best just wait for the next gen cards.

Thank you for clearing that up. I will have to wait for next gen.

You are correct 3x4k monitors and I guess I will need to wait for next gen.
