Okay, so I've been having this problem ever since I've gotten my 4k monitor (Link to monitor: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&cs=04&l=en&sku=210-ACBL) Every time I set the the resolution in games to 3840x2160 I get an extreme amount of latency, but with other resolutions it works just fine. Note: this is not a frame rate problem, all games that I tested were running at 60 fps or higher.

Does anyone have an answer?

Are you connected to the monitor via hdmi? That would account for it.

Oh one more thing to consider, some of the 4k monitors have been in displayport 1.1 mode instead of 1.2 out of the box for some reason. If that was the case, I'd switch it to 1.2 and that should fix your problem.

I'm using display port and it's set to 1.2.
