4K 240Hz through DSC on DP 1.4 / USB-C KVM?

Since it lists support for DSC, will the DP 1.4 / USB-C KVM handle a single 4K / 240Hz signal (coming from a 4090 which also only has DP 1.4). Thanks!

with good cables, it should be okay. we’ve tested it and it works @Level1_Amber just don’t try to use two 10 foot cables. even two six foot calves might be pushing it, but there’s lots of success stories here.

I just wanted to confirm before purchasing the triple monitor kvm myself. A single 4k 240hz center display with DSC flanked by 2x 60hz 4k displays should also work in theory assuming the same guidelines (short, quality cables)?

yep it’s 1:1 input to output

I’m in the same boat.

I have:

  • 4K@240hz OLED * 1
  • 4K@60hz IPS * 2

hooked up to windows PC, and M4 Mac Mini.

I want to make sure the windows PC can still output 4K240hz on the main (center) monitor for games, while on m4 mac mini 4K@120hz is fine.

is it possible on the Combo USB-C Power Delivery & DisplayPort 1.4 KVM - Triple Monitor ?

It’s a tentative yes, but you need short as possible, high quality cables. Switching from a monitor set to 240Hz to a different PC that only supports up to 120Hz might cause some trouble, might not though.

RIP to all my current 10ft DP cables

Do you need the short cables from PC - KVM or KVM - Monitor, or both?
I’m going to use TB3/4 cable from mac mini - KVM, so that’s going to be short.

xD short as possible for both
