Getting ready to go to college soon, going to build a computer that I want to be future-proof for at least 4-5 years going to spend around $1200-1500 I will be mostly using it for school and some picture and video editing but I want to game a bit on it too nothing too serious but still want it to be smooth. Ill probably get a GTX760 but I'm open to any recommendations. My biggest debate is whether to get a 4770k or a 4790k. I also am not sure what mobo to get I have a few ideas but any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
4790k. Most recent silicon, and much easier to cool due to the new TIM.
I am not sure if you need OS or peripherals.
