$400 build

Hey well Im building a PC for my lil bro and I have a bunch of parts already HDD/RAM so I just wanted to see if I could do better then this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/M0ft

Start with this and if more performance is really needed then pop in the 7770. But give that a shot first.

Switch the bulldozer for a x4 965 black. With the leftover money switch the 7770 for a 7850.

The onboard graphics in the APU are pretty great to begin with. Pretty cheap for a decent computer if you use an APU.

just gonna drop this sexy beast here

Can we please cut it out with these god damned APU's.

Save 30$ more and put in like a 550W for 55$, I suggest it. This will KILL any A10/6670 setup.

30$ extra for a 7850 is worth the boost form a 7770.

Some of you didn't read what he even had to say, he already has a hard drive and ram. ignorance is slowly growing on here.

SecretAuthor got it right.

If you are just trying to have EVERYTHING be 400$. Just switch to the 7770 I suppose.

2x 4gb sticks for $80+?

Sexy beast? I think not...

APUs should be bought only by:

A: Old people

or

B: computer illiterates

Here's an APU build and it's competitors...

A10-5800k without a dedicated GPU = $364

Intel Pentium G 860 + HD 7770 = $377

x4 965 Black + HD 7770 = $380

Just another option in line with what spenlard said.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/M4ep

Echoing what spenlard and secretAuthor said stay away from the APU's at this price range you can get a TON better performance for your budget.

Also you didnt specify what type of RAM you have, i think we would be better able to assist you if we new the model and type you have.

Have fun.

Here is a micro atx sized set of options just to throw in to the mix http://pcpartpicker.com/p/M4pt

Or

C: In a Media computer

or

D: By people who want a smaller form factor case.

 Thanks for playing. :)

An APU is fine for media or low end gaming. It is low power and noise and it means you don't need to buy a dedicated graphics card.

If you want to get the most performance for your money, go with what SecretAuthor put about a Phenom II. They outperform the APU's and are pretty cheap. :)

fuckkkk apppuuusss

prices fluctuate

when i posted them they were 25 each
