4.7k build

What do you think of this?

How would it perform (fps wise) for games such as Bf3, Crisis 3, etc?

Maybe its a little bit better to wait for Titan and SLI that

I dont understand why'd you'd spend that much and only get a 250gb HDD and a last gen SSD...

Why not a 1-3 TB HDD and a new SSD?

And while the case is preference and there's nothing wrong with the case there I just don't understand why'd you'd pay that much and get that one...

What more or less high end case would you suggest?

Got a freakin' laptop hard drive? You may wanna use the ole' noggin a bit more.

That sound card is better for gaming, and it works really well with noise cancelling headsets. I honestly can't find any reason to spend 4.7k on a computer though.

If you spent like 2.5k you could get something that'd be more than enough. Here's a more practical build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/EO3N .

If I had the money like that I'd probably throw it down though. And if you really wanted you COULD easily make a build that'd SLI two Titans in your price range. I just have a hard time thinking about spending all that for 1 game and it being overkill anyways.

i don't see the point. The preformance aspect of custom rigs becomes an e-peen contest past 1.7k.

id go with a 3930k, skip the dual 690's, get better ram, ie a 16 gig kit of Ripjaw Z at 2133 1.65v, a 2tb Caviar Black HHD and an 840 pro 128 gig ssd. and save 2 grand. I have this setup and it kill everything, and the 3930k is rock solid past 4.6 ghz with an H100
