Hi guys, I just picked up a 3950x and Crosshair Formula x570 board with 64gb 3600mhz Gskill Ripjaws Ram. I’m using an NHD15 Chromax cooler, strangely my idle temps are rather high… I set PBO manual 4.3ghz 1.3170v DCOP 3600mhz Infinity fabric 1800mhz. It idles from 42c and can go above 50c idle…
100% normal and to be expected, happens to my 3800x at 4.4 ghz 1.375v

3900x with NH-U9S here and yes it idles around 40 (plus or minus 3 C) but never exceeds 70-71C under load (although it runs stock and never care to bench it under P95 or Aida64) . Boosts great though and frequently “cruises” at 4.2 - 4.3 Ghz and occasionally I’ve seen it hit 4.58 …
