I’ve created a couple of threads over the last year or two discussing various eccentricities with the 3900x when it comes to performance and thermals. I have since gotten my idle temps and load temps under control.
I’ve seen some youtube videos from content creators performing all core overclocks combined with undervolt offsets and so I thought I would play around with it myself. I think I understand the results but would like some input.
Spreadsheet Results.
The stock settings in Ryzen Master had the cores set to 3998 and the voltage fluctuated between 1.35 - 1.43v. If you look at my last result I set my all core to 4.1ghz but lowered the voltage down to 1.2 which lowered my cpu temp. Because I lowered the voltage and the increase in core speed wasn’t that much I honestly was expecting the R20 benchmark to be lower. Do these results make sense?
