3570k + h80

Hi guys,

So I've ordered an i5 3570K and a H80 with Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition fans that I will be using in a p/p config,

my ultimate goal is 4.8GHz. My case is HAF 912 and I've got quite a decent cooling/airflow using 2x 120mm front (intake) fans, 200mm exhaust on top and 120mm intake on the side. (120mm's are CM sickleflow's)

Do you think I'm crazy or it's achievable? :) Of course taking into account the quality of the silicon and whatnot, also Ivy with its heat problem.

EDIT:

Forgot the motherboard :D It's Asus P8Z77-V

you should have gone with the performance ones, they are uber quiet, ask vortex, if heat is your only bottle neck then its not crazy, just need to overclock correctly, PSU, and motherboard quality and features is something to think about also as well as silicon qaulity

Damn. I was going to go with the performance ones until I've read someone saying they're loud. Oh well, will see how the heat works out.

I've looked into the power phases on P8Z77-V and someone with an equivalent Gigabyte motherboard has gotten his i5 to 4.8ghz, I had to go with Asus though as AI Suite is just too good :P

I've got Coolermaster GX650w as the PSU, which I think should be alright with it. The biggest factor is silicon though, so I hope I win the lottery for once :D

Actually, what you want is an SP120 on the front pulling air into the radiator and like gigabuster said, an AF120 performance series blowing it out the back.

The AF series are for the case airflow, there's 2 editions of SP120 too which is quiet and performance, I think that's what gigabuster meant.

What would be the best configuration? A fan pulling fresh air from outside the case through the rad, and another one pulling it out into the case or the opposite?

I don't have any experience with rad's so no idea :x
