350$ 1080p AMD ITX Mediocre Gamer

Very good, thanks for the info.

2x4 GB was picked cause of the cheaper price

Thanks for the input

Not a bad build at all.

For M-ITX i might have made a similar build, but the topic is on the ITX formfactor

Thanks for your input

Why is the ITX form factor so necessary?
I'd go for the G3258... don't limit your performance over fanboyism, come on...
That storage solution, a single 120GB SSD, urrr, no... sure, it's an SSD but that amount of space isn't going to last you long at all. Unless you want to be installing, uninstalling and reinstalling games every other day.

Here's what I'd do: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WrXvxr

Dont forget there's always the used GPU option if you want to get something a bit better inside that budget.

Cause i like ITX, as do many others.

My bad i did not make the topic an AMD gaming machine, doh! So thanks

Performance wise, on the cpu. You are absolutely right.

When i build a machine i usually go for AMD builds over Intel, even when it does limit performance. People that dont know much about building machines, might aswell support AMD over intel. That´s my honest opinion.

You seem pretty damn opinionated. You could get better performance going mATX for FM2, or going with intel, and you could go with either if it were not for your standpoints (the AMD one IMO being pretty much fanboyesque... something not condoned here (see the rules&regulations)).

I'd go with the AMD FM2+ 860K over the Intel G3258 since under Linux, the AMD Quad core would still win overall because of the quad core vs Dual core. I see most differences between intel and AMD removed when running under Linux.

Actually im to old to be a fanboy.

Im a supporter of things. Like Linux supporter, Tek Syndicate supporter and support many many other things. With cash.

So according to you, im a Tek Syndicate fanboy, Linux fanboy aswell? Haha, thats funny.

My reasoning behind supporting AMD, is more personal. Not at all "fanboyesque" much more political to be more precise, i dont like the way Intel is taking and have been going for a long time.'

Not only Intel, but Nvidia, Apple, Samsung and others.

So what? Im a fanboy, cause of that? Come on..

Why not, just make a new thread with your build? You have to "sort" someone else out?

Your build is not bad, so why not share it?

I love that build, its very good for Linux gaming at this time!

Thanks for your input!

There's a fan boy age cap now? Sweet.

Could be, dont care.

Answer enough?

Bingo. Didn't bother looking into the 860K because the ITX FM2+ motherboards seemed way too pricey.

Issue with FM2+ ITX is that the motherboards are pretty expensive.

LinuxMaster got one for $85 which isn't too bad.
