Could someone recommend a filament for printing a PSU bracket? Google-fu says PETG, but I know next to nothing about the subject.

PETG should work. PLA will probably work also. PLA deforms at a lower temperature, but you’ll have other problems first before you have to worry about the bracket.

pla gets soft at like 70c in my experience, should be fine since its not touching the heatsink or anything hot really

Sounds good, I have some PLA on the way so I’ll start with that.
