i just got my asus 4850 from newegg and installed it, when i turned on my computer there was one long beep, followed by two short beeps. so i hit the reset button and my computer turns on normally but whenever i turn it off and back on the beeps happen again. any help would be appreciated, thanks.
could be that the gpu is not getting enough power. are you sure its not your mobo making post beeps?
what motherboard do you have?
lol my old computer  sang me a song it did like 7 beeps..... i still till this day wonder what was wrong
LOL!! you guys need to look in your mobo manual and look up beep coordination's and then your problems will be fixed.. also go on like newegg or something and look at your mobo to see if you are missing any plugs :D
2nd that
i have a Foxconn A78AX-S..
and i didnt find anything in the manual
Your computer is broken. Just buy another computer.
ya.. just throw away the 700 bucks you spent on that comp and get a new one. don't even bother to RMA the dead mobo... (sarcasm)
go to ASUSTEK.com and check the online mobo manuals they have.
Do you get the beeps with your old gpu?
nevermind, updated the bios and it fixed it
